A little bit about our journey.
Story & Journey
I am an Equine Accredited Practitioner specialising in supporting neurodiverse children and young people.
Pony Pals Wrekin was created from a lifelong connection with horses and a deep commitment to helping young people who may experience the world differently — including those with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, anxiety, and additional educational needs.
My work centres on creating a calm, predictable and sensory-aware environment where neurodiverse young people can feel safe, understood and able to regulate. Horses play a vital role in this process. Their sensitivity, consistency and non-judgemental presence help young people build confidence, emotional regulation and self-awareness in ways that often feel more natural than traditional approaches.
Through therapeutic riding and equine-facilitated interactions, sessions are carefully paced and child-led. We focus on strengths, interests and individual processing styles, allowing each young person to engage in a way that feels comfortable and empowering.
This website reflects my role primarily as an Equine Accredited Practitioner working with neurodiverse young people. The equine relationship is at the heart of the therapeutic experience.
Alongside this, I am also a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My counselling training enhances my understanding of emotional wellbeing and mental health, allowing me to thoughtfully integrate evidence-based therapeutic principles where appropriate. My separate counselling practice operates under Wrekin View Counselling.
Our work is supported by a small, dedicated team who care for the horses and maintain the environment. Their role is essential in ensuring that both young people and horses are supported within a safe, calm and nurturing setting.
We feel privileged to support neurodiverse young people and their families, and to walk alongside them as they develop confidence, regulation and resilience.
Sessions are available Monday to Saturday, daytime and evenings subject to availability. Please contact us to arrange an informal conversation about how we may be able to support your child.

Our Vision
Our vision is to be a trusted and leading provider of equine-centred therapeutic support for neurodiverse young people, where the connection between human and horse is recognised as a powerful pathway to emotional regulation, resilience and growth.
We aim to create a calm, sensory-aware and inclusive environment where neurodiverse children and young people can engage in therapy at their own pace, supported by equine-led practice and informed therapeutic understanding.
Through this integrated and affirming approach, we seek to nurture confidence, self-awareness and empowerment, enabling the young people and families who come to Pony Pals Wrekin to build lasting wellbeing and personal strength.
